If you are a regular here, then Innjoo wouldn’t be news for you. Our first introduction to the U.A.E-based android Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), was the Innjoo i1swhich we thought was a pretty decent smartphone for its sub $100 pricing when we reviewed it.
We’ve also mentioned the Innjoo i2s, which is basically a more “souped up” version of the i1s that costs a bit more for the better finish and better specs and now, Innjoo is back yet again, this time with a device they are calling the Innjoo Note.
The Innjoo Note (which rather obviously borrows its name from Samsung’s Galaxy Note series) features a 5.5-inch, 720p (267ppi), LCD IPS display which the promo video hints might repel smudges. On the insides, the device is powered by an MTK Quad Core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with a Mali 400 graphics chip and 1GB RAM. Internal storage is a modest 16GB which is expandable by up to 32GB via microSD and the device ships with android 4.4.4 kitkat onboard laced with Innjoo’s custom UI skin and apps.
On the photography side of things, the Innjoo Note rear camera features a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera for video chatting and selfie addicts. The device is powered by a 3000 mAh battery.
Interestingly, the devices costs N19,999 (good luck with trying to get your change) which puts it in direct competition with the Innjoo i2s, which spots a smaller display but better internal specs.
Going by how much we were impressed with the i1s, if you are in the market for a budget device, with a display at the edges of “phablet” region, you may want to check the Innjoo Note out. As with the previous Innjoo devices, it seems like it’s exclusive to Jumia.
